Seller Terms of Service

These Seller Terms of Service ("Seller Terms") govern your use of Triply Vintage (formerly Triply) as a seller. By registering as a seller, you agree to these terms in addition to our general Terms of Service.
1. Seller Eligibility
To become a seller on Triply, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate business and payment information
- Have the legal right to sell the items you list
- Agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Triply reserves the right to approve or deny seller applications at our sole discretion.
2. What You Can Sell
Triply is a curated vintage marketplace. You may sell:
- Genuine vintage clothing and accessories
- Items in wearable condition
- Items you legally own and can ship promptly
You may NOT sell:
- Counterfeit or replica items
- Modern fast fashion
- Items falsely described as "vintage"
- Stolen goods
- Items that violate intellectual property rights
3. Listing Requirements
All listings must include:
- Clear, accurate photos (front, back, details, flaws)
- Accurate measurements
- Honest condition descriptions
- Fair, market-appropriate pricing
Listings are subject to review before going live. We may reject or require modifications to listings that don't meet our standards.
4. Pricing and Fees
$0 Seller Fees: Triply does not charge sellers any commission, listing fees, or monthly charges. We take nothing from your sales.
Payment Processing: All transactions are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Stripe charges a standard processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, which is deducted from your payout. This fee is charged by Stripe, not by Triply.
How It Works: We charge buyers a small Buyer Protection & Service Fee at checkout. This fee covers buyer protection guarantees, secure payment processing, and platform operations.
How You Get Paid: When your item sells, you receive the item price minus the Stripe processing fee and any voluntary discounts you've offered (coupons, bundle discounts, or store credits). Payouts are processed to your connected Stripe account after the buyer's 3-day return window closes.
Shipping: Shipping costs are paid by the buyer through a Shipping & Handling fee at checkout. You ship using provided prepaid labels at no cost to you.
Pricing Guidelines: We reserve the right to flag or reject listings priced significantly above market value.
5. Shipping Requirements
3-Day Shipping Rule: You must ship all orders within 3 business days of purchase. This is a firm requirement.
- Use provided shipping labels when available
- Pack items securely with appropriate protection
- Upload valid tracking information
Failure to ship within 3 business days will result in:
- Automatic order cancellation
- Full refund to the buyer
- A strike on your account
6. Strike System
We use a strike system to maintain marketplace quality:
- Strike 1: Warning (expires after 90 days)
- Strike 2: Final warning (expires after 90 days)
- Strike 3: 30-day suspension
- Strike 4+: Permanent removal from the platform
Strikes are issued for:
- Late shipments (failure to ship within 3 days)
- Lost disputes (item not as described)
- Policy violations
- Counterfeit items
- Repeated customer complaints
Good news: Strikes expire after 90 days of good standing.
7. Disputes and Returns
When a buyer opens a dispute, you will be notified immediately.
- You have 24 hours to respond to any dispute
- Failure to respond may result in automatic buyer-favorable resolution
- Triply has final authority over dispute resolution
Refunds may be issued if:
- Item was not as described
- Item arrived damaged
- Item is counterfeit
- Wrong item was sent
8. Payouts
Seller payouts are processed after the buyer's return window closes (typically 3 days after delivery confirmation). Payouts are made to your connected Stripe account.
Payouts may be held or adjusted in cases of:
- Open disputes
- Suspected fraud
- Policy violations
- Refunds or chargebacks
9. Weekly Drops
Triply operates on a weekly drop schedule (Sundays at 5 PM ET):
- Approved items enter upcoming drops
- Subscribers get 7-day early access
- After 7 days, items become public
Your visibility in drops depends on your seller rating, shipping speed, and dispute history.
10. Account Suspension and Removal
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove sellers for:
- Selling counterfeit items
- Misrepresenting item condition or measurements
- Repeated late shipments
- Attempting to circumvent platform policies
- Harassment of buyers or staff
- Accumulating 3+ strikes
11. Changes to Seller Terms
We may update these Seller Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
